I must admit, sometimes I get in over my head..I am a ONE MAN BAND.. my brain works OVERTIME... but I try to keep up with them all. I am now learning effectiveness over efficiency. Royalluxury is growing, please believe..

If you havent heard about Royalluxury Radio, It's a blogtalk radio station that I began about 2 months back. The concept of my show is primarily to document the things that Ive been through and overcome while making a transition from average girl to porn actress. Companies, actresses, actors, agents, photographers and things of that nature will be discussed. But not in a bad way... basically a networking tool, intoducing you to people making mentionable moves. I speak based on the experience I have, hoping to even help other newcomers with things to look for or OUT for. I will have more intimate topics coming soon.

Getting Off the Bench and In the Game.

The spotlight is a hell of a place to be.

We sit and spectate about what we see others doing.. how they look.. what they have (or dont have).. until youre in the same light. Then you expect people NOT to view you in the same light. It's funny, I was a big fan of porn (and still am) so I tend to look from a standpoint of a FAN.

Sometimes its hard to remeber that I'm now in this industry, also...

I had a conversation with a friend today, and he told me its easy to get tainted in the industry by watching what other people are doing. Like my last post, forget the lane that I'm running in.

What is number 1?

When you run a race, you're told to stay focused on your lane. Don't look at your competition, because you will be distracted. In basketball, you shoot the ball and the coach teaches you not to look at the hoop after the ball leaves your hand. If its not your job to catch the rebound, you run your ass back to the other end of the court.

Everyone has their own job that fits into a bigger picture. A car isnt built with just one part. Not even water has a cingular component. When you are so focused on what someone else is doing, you forget what your job is, and cant perform to the best of your own ability. Sometimes its hard to not compare someone elses situation to your own, but we all know the grass is always greener until you actually are standing in another pasture. Be thankful for what you DO have, and try to work your situation to the best of your ability; beacuse there is always someone willing to do whatever to take your spot.

Its easy to get caught up into emotions dealing with business, because you naturally form personal relationships with the people you do your business with. Especially when you devote every waking moment to your business; it quickly becomes your entire life. When you dont get the promotion or praise that you expect to get, you become frustrated easily. We all expect instant gratification, but don't stop to realise what the boss had to overcome to make it to the top. Or maybe they want to bring the ABSOLUTE best in you, things that you didnt even know you were capable of.

The truth is, I surprise myself daily now. I'm learning more and pushing myself to places I never knew I could reach. Accomplishing things I once could have only imagined. If I were rolling with a pack of lames, I'd be standing still and comparing myself to the worst, instead of the best.

Sometimes its hard feeling like you have to work so hard to earn respect, but what you fight for can NEVER be taken away. Im a grown woman, and for once, I'm being treated as one. Everyone says they want to be a boss, but do you REALLY have what it takes? This shit is not for the weak at heart.

Just remember this. A team is not a team if they can't push eachother to higher grounds. Plateau's are reached because you CLIMBED, and if you fall, your team should be your harness. Not because they are at the bottom pushing; because they are at the top, pulling you through.

I know, I know... it's been a minute, right? I took on a crash course at the "School of Hard Knox" last month.. Yes, I got every penny worth of the tuition paid. April Fools only lasts one day, but for me, it lasted the entire month. Punk'd without pause. When money is a factor, friends are basically non existent. Everyone has their hands out for work that they didnt do. Absurd. I bet you think this blog is about you, huh?

So, with that being said.. lets keep it moving, because I most definitely have.

.In other news... today was a typical day... ranting about nonsense (hey, it's a slow news week).

I've been terribly under the weather for the past week or so.. but I'll be back up and running pretty soon. Too bad my blackjack only records for like 30 seconds... n my webcam didn have the angle i was looking for.. hey u guys... ONE DAY AT A TIME! anywho.. didnt wanna leave u hangin, so heres a lil sum sum. PEACE.

BOY TOYS.... 

Ladies... Im sure you've dealt with a guy who loved his car. Is that NOT the worst? I agree. So, the other day, I decide to hang out with a friend of mine... We've been cool for about a year, and usually he hops in with me, or we just meet up, and theres never been a problem. At least, not until he brought his "Baby" out.

 Every single place we went HAD to have valet.... this fool even left me to go check on his car... skip the details... 4 dirty martinis and 5 oyster shots later, this nigga really cut up about this stink ass car.  I forgot the details but basically I snapped! Nigga, don't bring that dumb ass car out with me if it's gunna stop us from having fun.  I cant tolerate it... Guys, if u have a car that's worth big money and u act like an ass when ur driving it, don't take a chick (who actually likes you) out in it. Its pure bullshit.  I don't get into that.  Don't spend it if ur gunna be a bitch about it. 

So, after an entire year of dealings, I may have lost an old friend behind a dumb ass car, which I wasn't diggin, anyway.

Today
has been an interesting day. U find out lots about a person when you say something they dont agree with.  But, hey, I'd rather find out earlier than late.  

I have from the beginning said that I will be in complete control of my carreer. This is mainly the reason I dont have many scenes under my belt. I have found so many people saying "yea, roll with me, Shorty, I can make you a star" yadda yadda..I'll give you a chance, but u only get three strikes. This troubles me, simply because I know that this industry is more about who you know, than what you can do. I refuse to affiliate myself with someone who doesnt have me in best interest. I applaud the real "adult models" who have their shit together, so my question is, how hard is it REALLY to do this yourself? I know that nothing can be accomplished alone, but I bar NO bullshit. I'll pass on this entire INDUSTRY before I let someone make a fool out of me. I play the ROLE, so it cant PLAY ME.

     I can buy glitter from a craft store; what shimmers could possibly be fairy dust. Jasmine makes mistakes > Keita doesnt HAVE TO.

Im not in a rush to shoot 100 scenes; thats not whats most important.  Im not in a rush to get a site; its already reserved.  May not even get nominated for best new urban talent... but the turtle wins the race. EVERYTIME. In the meantime... please believe I cash checks like a teller.

Home Again...

I had a blast in the big NYC.. From there, I continued on to Maryland for the first time. After less than 24 hours, I came to find out that

So now Im back at home... working on more projects, namely, my new company Dollface Films! Working on a new mix DVD with DJ Buttamilk, and hot photoshoots with famous photographer D. Suave (links coming soon).
